I don't usually rate products on Amazon, but I cannot say enough good things about these cube sets.

I have had several over the years, and they have served many purposes. I love the versatility and durability of these cubes. My first 2 sets went to building a bunny cage. They survived being chewed on and being used outdoors with only minimal paint chipping. (I only got rid of them because I moved.) Since that time, I have always had a set or 2 and have found plenty of uses for them inside the house. Right now, I have 2 sets that I am using as a pantry in my kitchen. They easily hold up heavy canned items and juice containers without additional support.

Now, all that said, there are a few tricks I have learned about using these cubes most effectively:

- It says you don't need tools to put these guys together, but I always use a pair of pliers to get them tightened and sometimes a hammer. This ensures you get a good fit and maximum sturdiness. It still doesn't take very long, and I am a little woman (5'1", 110lbs). So, if I can do it, anyone can.

- If you REALLY want them to stay together, you can reinforce them with zip-ties. I did this when I was holding in rabbits, and the cage was the only thing preventing total destruction of my balcony. However, I haven't used zip-ties since, and I still find that they are plenty study on their own.

I have used Gamma, Tretorn and Penn pressureless balls and these are the best of the bunch - by a mile. Pressureless balls are firmer than regular balls on off-center and frame shots, but these are not at all objectionable to me and my kids. I have used Penn pressureless balls for instruction, ball machines, and in practice games, including at high altitude. They work great for all purposes. In fact, Penn has perfected pressureless balls to a level where they should price and market them as the primary ball for recreational (non-tournament) play. It pains me to see occassional players hit pressureized balls for an hour, putting very litte wear on the balls, playing them again in a deader form in the future, and ultimately discarding them when pressureless balls would still be perfectly playable. Such a waste of money, resources, and practice time. The fuzz on the Penn pressureless balls (and the other brands) holds up very well. My one gripe is that the lid on the Penn 48-ball bucket is a terrible design. Granted most people will put them in a hopper, but why go to the manufacturing expense of making a bucket and then not put a lid on it that: 1) opens without a crowbar; 2) stays open when you are using it; and, 3) secures down when you close it. So easy to improve, it seems like basic laziness on the part of the design team. Planet Bike Cascadia Front and Rear Bicycle Fender Set with Mud Flaps Immediately

Its been two days since the fenders arrived and I began trying to install them on my '04 Sirrus. I had previously used Planet Bike Hardcore Road Fender so I presumed these would be similar. Right out of the box I noticed they appeared quite slim and although they're recommended for tires up to 700x28 they're a close fit on my Armadillos 700x25.

The 42m bolt supplied was a bit too short for my Specialized Sirrus fork so I would up using the old bolt that originally came with the Hardcore Fenders. The plastic clip that secures the rear fender to the brake bridge was a press fit on my old Hardcore fenders and held the the fender firmly in place. On the Cascadia the same bracket has a loose fit and will slide up and down the fender. More importantly these fenders lack the metal tab that hooks onto the chainstay connector and helps keep the bottom portion of the rear fender in place.

Like others have mentioned, I also had a bolt in the chainstay connector so I cut a slit to slide the fender over the bolt. What I didn't anticipate is there's very little clearance with the front Nexave Derailleur. As a result the fender is pushed back and winds up rubbing against the rear tire. While this worked perfectly well with the old Hardcore fenders, (secured by previously mentioned clip) apparently it wasn't sufficient for the Cascadia. The rear fender immediately began to rub against my rear tire.

Further reading on Bikeforums indicates some Sirrus owners have gotten around the front derailleur problem by upgrading from Nexave to Tiagara which is a bit more work that I envisioned when I decided to add fenders. Maybe I'l just cut them back a bit and bypass the whole derailleur area.

So far the only good thing I can say is that Planet Bike provided some long bolts that allow me to mount the fenders in the same eyelets as my rear rack. I told them and they then stated that it was not covered under any warranty at all being that I bought it off of E-Bay, even though I purchased it brand brand new from a verified E-Bay power seller. They stated that I would have had to purchase it from an "authorized" Luminox dealer for warranty coverage. They advised me that the crown was bent, the internals were rusted and needed to be rebuilt, the crystal was scratched to the point of needing replacement, the bezel needed replacing, ect....... I sucked it up and paid the $100.00 plus return S&H to have them rebuild my watch and send it back. Two years later the battery was toasted, the bezel started to wear again, and it was fogging up again when I took a shower. I have had it now eight years and the watch is ruined. It won't hold the correct time, I have a hard time setting the date, and the bezed it completely smooth again, showing no numbers at all. I called Luminox after the second time I started having problems and inquired about warranty work since their authorized repair facility rebuilt it and they said that since I didn't original purchase it from an authorized Luminox dealer........and told me that they couldn't help me.

I like the versatility and design, so I just bought a watch similar in nature from a different manufacturer and it's warrantied for three years right off the bat.
